Q: How do I track my reading progress?
Tap on any book in your library and select "Start Session" to open the reading timer. When you finish your sit-down, log the ending page number. PagePulse will automatically calculate your minutes read, pace (pages/hour), and update your streak.
Q: Can I add books that aren't found in online search?
Yes! On the "Add Book" screen, tap the "Manual" button in the top right or the floating "Manual Entry" button to quickly type in any book title, author, and total page count without needing internet access.
Q: Is my reading data private?
Yes. PagePulse operates with a local-first design. Your reading logs, private notes, and habits stay safely inside your device's private SQLite database.
Q: How does the Streak counter work?
Reading at least 1 page or logging a session each day maintains your active reading rhythm. If you go on vacation or want a break, you can turn on Vacation / Rest Mode in the Goals tab to freeze your streak without penalty.
