Account & Data Deletion Request

In accordance with Google Play's User Data & Account Deletion Policy, PagePulse provides users with full autonomy to delete their account, reading logs, and associated information.

Overview: PagePulse is designed with a local-first architecture. Most reading data is stored solely on your personal device. If you enabled optional cloud synchronization, you can request full permanent removal of all cloud records at any time.

Method 1: Delete Local Data Directly From Your Device

If you have not used cloud sync, all your data resides strictly within your device's isolated application storage sandbox. You can erase it immediately using either method:

Option A: Within the Android System Settings

Open your Android phone's Settings.
Navigate to Apps (or App Management) → PagePulse.
Tap Storage & Cache.
Tap Clear Storage (or Clear Data).
All books, reading sessions, private notes, and preferences will be permanently erased immediately.

Option B: Uninstalling the App

Uninstalling PagePulse removes the sandboxed SQLite database (pagepulse_local.db) and all cached data from your device permanently.

Method 2: Request Cloud Sync Data & Account Deletion

If you used Supabase cloud synchronization and wish to delete your cloud account, reading sessions, and user records from our backend servers, follow these steps:

Important: Deleting cloud data is irreversible. All reading history, streak records, and cloud backup sessions linked to your email/UID will be permanently destroyed.

Step-by-Step Deletion Request Process:

Use the subject line: PagePulse Account and Data Deletion Request
In the body of your email, please provide:
- The registered email address associated with your PagePulse cloud account (or your Supabase Auth User ID).
- A brief statement requesting complete deletion of all reading sessions, library metadata, and authentication profiles.

What Happens Next?

Verification: We will verify ownership of the account to prevent unauthorized deletion requests.
Permanent Erasure: Within 30 days of verification, all cloud database records linked to your user ID will be permanently purged from Supabase servers and all backup snapshots.
Confirmation: You will receive a written confirmation email once the deletion process is complete.
No Data Retention: PagePulse does not retain any user personal data, reading logs, or identifiers following deletion, except where strictly required to comply with statutory legal obligations.
