1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Reiki Healing Timer & Bell ("we", "us", or "our"), created and published by Niraj Pandit, handles information when you install and use the Reiki Healing mobile application distributed via the Google Play Store.

We respect your spiritual contemplation and personal privacy. We believe that mindfulness and holistic self-care practices should never be subjected to commercial surveillance or data harvesting.

2. Data Collection and Processing (Google Play Data Safety)

In full alignment with the Google Play Console Data Safety Declaration:

• Personal Information: We do NOT collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, account credentials, physical addresses, or government identifiers.
• Health & Medical Data: We do NOT collect physiological metrics, medical records, biometric data, or sensitive clinical information.
• Location Data: We do NOT access, track, or record GPS, Wi-Fi, or cellular location.
• Financial & Payment Data: Reiki Healing is free to use. We do not collect credit card, bank, or payment details.
• Device & Telemetry Identifiers: We do NOT collect Advertising IDs (AAID), MAC addresses, IMEI, or hardware serial numbers.

3. Local Storage Architecture (On-Device SQLite)

All session routines, interval bell preferences, journal reflections, and milestone achievement data are stored strictly locally on your physical device using an embedded SQLite database (reikihealing.db) and local key-value preferences (SharedPreferences).

This data never leaves your physical hardware. If you uninstall the app or clear app data in Android system settings, all locally stored records are permanently erased from your device.

4. Device Permissions and Rationale

Reiki Healing requests only the minimum operating system permissions strictly necessary to deliver its core timer and sound capabilities:

• POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+): Used solely to trigger optional local daily practice reminder notifications set by you in Profile settings. No remote push notifications or marketing messages are ever sent.
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE & WAKE_LOCK: Allows audio soundscapes and interval bells to play continuously without audio cutoffs during 20–60 minute sessions when your screen turns off or locks.
• VIBRATE: Powers the tactile double-pulse cue for eyes-closed hand position transitions and the hospital-safe Silent Haptic Mode.
• INTERNET Permission: Reiki Healing does not require or utilize the android.permission.INTERNET permission in its production manifest.

5. Third-Party Services and SDKs

Reiki Healing does not embed third-party advertising networks (such as Google AdMob, Unity Ads, or Meta Audience Network) nor commercial analytics trackers (such as Google Analytics for Firebase, AppsFlyer, or Adjust). The application operates with zero external network dependencies.

6. Children's Online Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Reiki Healing complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play Families Policies. The app is targeted at general audiences aged 13 and older. Because we do not collect any personal data whatsoever, we never knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under 13.

7. Data Retention and User Deletion Rights

Because all your practice history and settings are stored locally on your device:

• You maintain 100% control over your data at all times.
• You can reset or erase all session history, favorites, and preferences instantly from inside the app via Profile → Data Management → Reset All Progress & App Data.
• Uninstalling the app immediately deletes all locally persisted SQLite databases.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect evolving Google Play Console standards or regulatory updates. Any changes will be published directly to this URL with an updated Effective Date.
