Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common seeker inquiries

General & Privacy

1. Does the app require an active internet connection?

No. Tarot Card is 100% offline-first. All 78 cards, 50 spreads, astronomical moon phase algorithms, and ambient soundscapes are synthesized and stored locally on your device. You can perform full readings in Airplane Mode.

2. Are my questions and journal entries private?

Yes, completely. Your questions, reflections, and drawn cards never leave your physical smartphone. They are stored inside an encrypted SQLite database on your device sandbox with zero external server syncing.

Tarot & Readings

3. What card deck is used in the app?

The app features the classic 78-card Rider-Waite-Smith tradition, comprising 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana (Wands, Cups, Swords, Pentacles), complete with rich upright and reversed symbolism.

4. How do Clarifier Cards work?

If a particular card in your reading feels ambiguous or demands deeper insight, you can tap "✨ Pull Clarifier Card" on the completion screen. A complementary card is drawn to illuminate the underlying dynamic, and the reading synthesis dynamically updates to incorporate this new revelation.

5. What is the "Stalker Card Tracker"?

In authentic Tarot practice, a "stalker card" is a card that persistently appears across multiple separate readings over days or weeks, signaling an urgent psychological or karmic lesson. Our Divination Analytics hub tracks card drawing frequencies to reveal your current stalker cards automatically.

Cosmic Energy & Audio

6. How are Moon Phases and Astrological Energy calculated?

The app computes high-precision lunar illumination, lunar age, and current zodiac sun signs using local astronomical algorithms based on UTC timestamp. It requires no location permission or online weather queries.

7. What are the benefits of 432Hz Soundscapes?

432Hz is historically recognized as the "Verdi tuning" or natural harmonic frequency that resonates mathematically with nature. Our pure offline soundscapes combine 432Hz sine harmonics with an 8Hz Schumann pulse to encourage calm alpha/theta brainwave states during divination.

Android Home Screen Widget

8. How do I add the Card of the Day widget to my phone?

You can tap "📱 Add Widget" directly on the Daily Tarot card on the home screen, or long-press an empty space on your phone's home screen, tap Widgets, find Tarot Card, and drag the Daily Card widget to your launcher grid.
